This request comes by way of FCFI board member Deb Herrold whose Bradenton community was hit twice by hurricane flooding

Jo Momma
I would like to introduce you to a single lady who lives in our Braden Castle Park, Bradenton, FL. The end of September Hurricane Helene flooded over 100 homes and 76 mobile homes in our park. My friend who everyone fondly refers to as “Jo Momma” fled after the hurricane with FEMA. It took from October to December to find out that she was ineligible and she had no help coming to help with repairs.

Then to make matters worse, when she was living with her granddaughter she fell and broke her hip on October 22 and spent 5 weeks in the hospital and rehab. While in the hospital she got pneumonia and sepsis. Because she still has a bacterial infection the doctor wouldn’t give her a doctor’s release and without the doctor’s release she couldn’t return to her job. As a result she was fired.

I think if we could raise approximately $8,000 we could get this very discouraged lady back in her mobile home. Thank you so much for anything you can contribute.

To donate or learn more, please contact us at FCFI. Together, we can help Jo Momma rebuild her home, recover from these challenges, and restore her hope. Be sure to leave a note in the comment section for online donations or with the check for mailed donations.
