Gospel Encounters at the 2025 Fall Nittany Tractor Show – by Michael and Karen Steele

Two FCFI witnesses busy sharing the Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ using the five colors of the Wordless Bible!

We are grateful to share with you the work of the Pennsylvania Northern Tier Chapter of FCFI at the 2025 Fall Nittany Tractor Show, held September 4–7 at the Penn’s Cave grounds in Centre Hall, PA. Despite a little rain on Thursday and Saturday, the crowds still came, and the Lord opened many doors for ministry.

At the FCFI tent, we had the privilege of sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ with those who stopped by. One particularly powerful moment came when a young man, who initially approached the tent to pick up a walking stick for a family member, heard the message of the beads. As he learned about the love of Jesus and the gift of salvation, his heart was moved—and he committed his life to Christ right there! This is exactly why FCFI volunteers pour so much time and energy into events like these: so that those ready to meet their Savior can hear the Good News.

Over the course of the show, we distributed around 50 Wordless Walking Sticks, including 15 “Classic Sticks” repurposed from old rake, hoe, and shovel handles. We also handed out approximately 10 gel bracelets, 30 zipper pulls, 25 cord lock bracelets, and 15 yarn bracelets. Each item served as a tool for sharing the life-changing message of the Gospel.

We praise God for His work at the Nittany Tractor Show and thank all who prayed for and supported this outreach. Every conversation, every item shared, and every testimony points to the love of Jesus Christ and the power of His salvation.

Below are some scenes from this event held in the middle of a huge field:

This young man stops by every year. FCFI witness Karen Steele shares from the beads on his bracelet

This young lady stopped early on Friday. FCFI witness Sally Good shares the salvation message of Lord Jesus with her using the Wordless Walking Stick

This husband and wife stop by for Walking Sticks and the message every year. It never hurts to hear it again!

Even the children stop by the FCFI tent asking for Wordless Walking Sticks. We have some small sticks for smaller people. We look at them and call the stick “You size!”

We have two signs offering Free Wordless Walking Sticks. One on each side of the tent. A young lady is reading the Wordless Walking Stick Owner/Operator Manual as FCFI witness Karen Steele shares the meaning of the colored beads

There were some slow times, and there were some busy times. But the FCFI team of volunteers remained ready to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! One little girl’s mother even put her new yarn bracelet on her ankle as an anklet.

The FCFI tent is not just for adults. These two children stopped for their own new walking sticks. Both FCFI witnesses Karen Steele and Sally Good share

Two pastors also stopped by the tent to pick up walking sticks. One, from DuBois, PA, makes it a point to visit us every year. This year, we were also blessed to meet a pastor from Indiana, PA. Encounters like these remind us how wonderful it is when churches get to witness FCFI’s ministry in action—busy out in the fields, fairs, highways, and byways, just as Christ commanded.

We are especially thankful for the FCFI volunteers—Michael and Karen Steele, and David and Sally Good—who faithfully showed up to serve and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your dedication is an inspiration!

Finally, a heartfelt thank you goes out to all of you—our prayer warriors and financial supporters. You are a huge part of why the Fellowship of Christian Farmers International continues to bear fruit. Together, we are sowing seeds of faith that will grow into eternal harvests.
