FCFI Prayer Guide – September 2025

These daily guides help us focus our prayers and hearts. May we grow together in unity and trust as we seek God daily

  1. It is the Lord your God you must follow, and Him you must revere. Keep His commands and obey Him, serve Him and hold fast to Him, (Deuteronomy 13:4). The Bible mentions false prophets many times. Whether a loud shout by someone trying to convince you or a soft whisper of doubt, there is always going to be false information around. We pray to know God’s Word and let it help us hold fast to God. 1-2 Spencer Fair, Spencer, MA, Bill Brown.
  2. So, the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, as the Lord had told Joshua, (Joshua 4:8). Joshua has led the Israelites into the Promised Land and now they would take these twelve stones and make an altar and a memorial. We pray to always give God praise when He helps us cross over our hard times. 1-2 Sandusky County Restorers Antique Power Show, Gibsonburg, OH, Bill Brown
  3. But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their fathers, following other gods and serving and worshiping them. They refused to give up their evil practices and stubborn ways, (Judges 2:19). The Israelites had seen miracles and had promises fulfilled and yet they were a rebellious and stiff-necked people and rebelled against God over and over. We pray to be people of faith and obedience. 3-7 Luzerne County Fair, Dallas, PA, Ernie Reece
  4. As she (Ruth) got up to glean, Boaz gave orders to his men, Even if she gathers among the sheaves, do not embarrass her. Rather, pull out some stalks for her from the bundles and leave them for her to pick up, and don’t rebuke her, (Ruth 2:15-16). Ruth’s reputation had preceded her and Boaz was repaying her for taking such good care of Naomi. We pray to look after good people doing the best they can in their circumstances. 4-7 Orleans County Fair, Barton, VT, Bill Brown
  5. After he (Samuel) was weaned, she took the boy with her, young as he was, along with a three-year-old bull, and ephah of flour and a skin of wine, and brought him to the house of the Lord at Shiloh. When they had slaughtered the bull, they brought the boy to Eli, (1 Samuel 1:24-25). Hannah had prayed earnestly for a child. God sent her a son she named Samuel and promised God the child would belong to Him. We pray to honor our promises to God. 4-7 Nittany Antique Machinery Show, Centre Hall, PA, Michael Steele
  6. They brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before the Lord, (2 Samuel 6:17). David had the Ark of the Covenant brought to Jerusalem. He danced before the Lord. We pray to have joy way down deep in our hearts! 4-7 Hebron Harvest Fair, Hebron, CT, Bill Brown
  7. Not at all! Jonathan answered (Joab). Our lord King David has made Solomon king. Moreover, Solomon has taken his seat on the royal throne, (1 Kings 1:43,45). Joab had backed the wrong son…God had already told David that Solomon would be king after David’s death. We pray to seek God’s guidance in our lives. Please pray for James and his family. Pray for God’s direction in their lives as they have gone through a lot of changes and financial problems.
  8. Then Elijah said to him, Stay here Elisha, the Lord has sent me to Jericho. And he replied, As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you. So they went to Jericho, (2 Kings 2:4). Elisha knew that God was about to take Elijah and he wanted to be there when it happened. We pray to be in the midst of where God is working. 8-10 Wolcott Fair, Wolcott, CT, Bill Brown
  9. Some of them (Levites) were in charge of the articles used in the Temple service, they counted them when they were brought in and when they were taken out, (1 Chronicles 9:28). David and Samuel had chosen the men to take care of the Temple and all of its articles. We pray to be trustworthy to man and God. 9-11 Husker Harvest Days, Grand Island, NE, Jeff Goss
  10. When all the work Solomon had done for the Temple of the Lord was finished, he brought in the things his father David had dedicated, the silver and gold and all the furnishings, and he placed them in the treasuries of God’s Temple, (2 Chronicles 5:1). David had assembled many articles for the Temple but God had said he was a man of war and could not actually build the Temple so Solomon did. It took seven years and then Solomon filled it with the articles God had commanded and David had assembled. We pray to be part of God’s great plan for His Kingdom’s work. Please continue to pray for little Everleigh. She is out of the hospital but still has kidney issues that will have to be dealt with as she ages.
  11. When Sanballat heard that we (Jews who had returned from captivity) were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews, (Nehemiah 4:1). There will always be those who oppose the work of the Lord and His people. We pray to work for the Lord even under the threat of those who don’t want us to prosper nor God’s kingdom to prevail. 11-14 Four Town Fair, Somers, CT, Bill Brown
  12. King Xerxes asked Queen Esther, Who is he? Where is the man who has dared to do such a thing? Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this vile Haman, (Esther 7:5-6). King Xerxes had been tricked by his advisor to have the Jews killed on a certain date in the near future and further that they couldn’t defend themselves. Esther with fear of her own life exposed Haman’s plot. We pray to be strong against our adversaries and to support God’s people. Please continue to pray for Rachel. She has liver problems.
  13. I have no peace, no quietness, I have no rest, but only turmoil, (Job 3:26). Grief is a long, lonely, tortuous journey. Job had lost much and was grieving deeply. Though we may rejoice where our Christian loved ones are in eternity, we grieve our loss here on earth. We pray to give hope to those who are grieving…a kind word, a loving hug, and a safe place to grieve. Please continue to pray for Wayne. He has had a 10-year battle with cancer and having strokes as the result of the medicines he has to take. Hospice has been called in.
  14. Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies, make straight Your way before me, (Psalm 5:8). Enemies of God are all around us. Some choose to make us their personal enemy. We pray for God to make our paths straight as we navigate this world. Canajoharie Street Fair, Canajoharie, NY, Bill Brown
  15. The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for attaining wisdom and discipline, for understanding words of insight, for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair, for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young, let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance, for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise, (Proverbs 1:1-7). Through Proverbs we can gain deep spiritual insight in everyday life. It helps us live in a close relationship with God. We pray to renew our call to living a God-filled life as we read the Proverbs. 14-20 Gratz Fair, Gratz, PA, Ernie Reece
  16. For without Him (God), who can eat or find enjoyment, (Ecclesiastes 2:25). All life and all good comes from God’s hand. We pray to take life as a gift and give thanks to our Creator. 16-18 Farm Science Review, London, OH, Jeremy Stout, Bill Nichols
  17. The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled), (Isaiah 2:12). False pride is one of the seven things God hates. We pray to put our confidence in God alone. Please pray for Mike. He fell off a 6-foot ladder onto concrete and broke ribs in 12 places and also his collarbone. He has been in terrible pain and in rehab and now home for his mend.
  18. The priests did not ask, Where is the Lord? Those who deal with the law did not know Me, the leaders rebelled against Me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols, (Jeremiah 2:8). Baal was the chief god of the Canaanites and worship was a sexual orientation and thus a constant temptation and battle for a nation who were called to be holy. We pray to live as God’s holy people. Please pray for FCFI as this group of people work to share God’s message of Salvation at various shows and farm day events.
  19. The enemy laid hands on all her (Jerusalem) treasures, she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary, those you had forbidden to enter your assembly, (Lamentations 1:8). We can choose to ignore God’s warnings just as Israel did or we can listen to and obey God’s Word. We pray to be obedient as a sign of our love for God. 19-27 Bloomsburg Fair, Bloomsburg, PA, Doc Devoe
  20. But the priests, who are Levites and descendants of Zadok and who faithfully carried out the duties of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from Me, are to come near to minister before Me, they are to stand before Me to offer sacrifices of fat and blood, declares the Sovereign Lord. They alone are to enter my sanctuary, they alone are to come near my table to minister before Me and perform My service, (Ezekiel 44:15-16). Zadok’s descendants were considered the true priestly line throughout the time between the Old and New Testaments. We pray to be found faithful in our service to the Lord. Cream Cheese Festival, Lowville, NY, Bill Brown
  21. The astrologers answered the King (Nebuchadnezzar), There is not a man on earth who can do what the king asks! No king, however great and mighty, has ever asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or astrologer, (Daniel 2:10). The King had a dream but no one could tell him what it meant. He was about to have all the wise men put to death, then Daniel entered the picture. We pray to be ready to step forward when it is our time to serve. 20-21 Pennsylvania Heritage Day, Troy, PA, Michael Steele
  22. But let no man bring a charge, let no man accuse another, for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest, (Hosea 4:4). The priests were so corrupt they were not the ones who could be trusted to accuse someone else of wrongdoing. We pray to be people of God and not man. Please continue to pray for Corky as he heals from double knee replacement. This is a tough surgery.
  23. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, (Joel 2:31). Repent and call upon the name of the Lord while there is still time…not a doomsday message but a daily reminder that the time of the Lord is near. We pray to be ready when the Day of the Lord comes. Please pray for our country. We are going through many changes. Many think this is a good thing and many consider it very bad. Pray for our fellow Americans.
  24. The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier will not get away, and the horseman will not save his life, (Amos 2:15). God is not impressed with bravado inspired by movies on social media. When God’s judgment comes every knee shall bow. We pray to be prepared with Jesus in our hearts. Please continue to pray for Parnell as he heals from multiple broken bones from a motorcycle accident.
  25. But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord, (Jonah 1:3). Jonah, and sometimes us, are reluctant to share God’s mercy and grace to those we don’t like…for many different reasons. We pray to open our hearts to those who need it most. Please continue to pray for Debbie. She has right kidney cancer and was allergic to the meds to help her overcome this.
  26. You drive the women of my people from their pleasant homes. You take away My blessing from their children forever, (Micah 2:9). False prophets made false predictions and had false actions. We pray to study God’s Word for ourselves and ask Him for wisdom to interpret it correctly. Please pray for those of us who have had Covid again…a new wave is going around the country.
  27. The Lord is a jealous and avenging God, the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on His foes and maintains His wrath against His enemies, (Nahum 1:2). God’s purpose with vengeance is to remove sin and restore peace to the sinners. We pray to leave revenge to our Creator and Lord. 27-28 Remsen Barn Festival, Remsen, NY, Bill Brown
  28. They (Babylonians) are a feared and dreaded people, they are a law unto themselves and promote their own honor, (Habakkuk 1:7). The Babylonians had risen to power rapidly and were going to be used by God to conquer the Israelites because of disobedience. We pray to stay in God’s guidelines. 27-28 Apple Fest, Central Square, NY, Bill Brown
  29. On that day I (God) will punish all who avoid stepping on the threshold, who fill the Temple of their gods with violence and deceit, (Zephaniah 1:9). The warning was against Judah and her Godless ways. Zephaniah addressed those who didn’t go to God’s Temple but had no problem going to the pagan temples. We pray to praise and worship God in a church near us. Please pray for our farmers. The harvest season is upon us. Pray for good weather and good prices and bodies to hold up under the pressure of harvest season.
  30. The Word of the Lord came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month, (Haggai 2:20). Haggai kept accurate records as to when God spoke to him and what He said. We pray to make notes when God gives us a word of direction. Please pray for the Moore family as they continue to adjust to their loss of their young family member in a farm-related accident.
