- The man who says I know Him but does not do what He commands
is a liar, and the truth is not in Him, (1John 2:4). If we have the love
of God in our hearts then the love of others will be there as well.
We pray our actions will reflect the love of God in our hearts. 1-2 Strawberry Festival, Floral City, FL, Bill Brown - Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from His presence, and there was no place for them, (Revelation 20:11). There will be a time of judgment. We pray to be found faithful. Please pray for a friend of Bill’s who has to start treatments again. Pray all goes well and the cancer stays.
- Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as He was walking in the garden in the cool of the day and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden, (Genesis 3:8). Sin had broken the close relationship of Adam and Eve with God. They wanted to hide in their shame. We pray to run to Jesus for forgiveness rather than hid in our sin. 2-4 commodity Classic, Denver, CO, Dennis Schlagel
- The Lord said I have indeed seen the misery of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering, (Exodus 3:7). Often in our distress we cry out to the Lord but because change doesn’t come quickly, we believe God doesn’t care about us…this Scripture should comfort us. We pray to know that God loves us and will take care of our needs in His time. Give a shout of Halleluiah that hay has been delivered to NC from PA for those in much need.
- If he (one of God’s chosen) offers an animal from the flock as a fellowship offering to the Lord, he is to off er a male or female without defect. If he offers a lamb, he is to present it before the Lord, (Leviticus3:6-7). Animal sacrifices were stopped after Jesus became our sacrifice. Before that, God had specific instructions for the sacrificial animal. We praise the Lord for Jesus’ one time sacrifice. Please pray for Keith that his water troubles will be taken care of… a high cost for replacement and still contractors had not finished on a timely manner.
- At that time, I said to you, you are too heavy a burden for me to carry alone. The Lord your God has increased your numbers so that today you are as many as the stars in the sky, (Deuteronomy 1:9-10). It took a good man to admit he could no longer take care of everything. Then others were able to lift his burden but also to use their God given talents to help. We pray to look for ways to use the abilities God has given us to glorify His name. Please pray for Tommy J he has had other health problems but now suddenly having heart issues with 2 different stays and surgeries in the hospital.
- Joshua set up the twelve stones that had been in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the priests who carried the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day, (Joshua 4;9). Joshua set these stones as a memorial to why the Israelites were crossing the Jordan. God was giving them this land and if they focused on Him, they would be able to conquer the people and inhabit the land. We pray to keep our focus on the big picture rather than getting bogged down in the little things of life. Please pray for Lance. He is a young farmer who had triple by-pass surgery on his heart.
- Then the men of Judah went with the Simeonites their brothers and attacked the Canaanites living in Zephath, and they totally destroyed the city. Therefore, it was call Horman, (Judges 1:17) We sometimes agonize over the killings of war. But God was clear that everything should be destroyed. He knew the outcome if some remnant of the heathen nations survived, they would always be trouble. We pray to not leave an opening for sin in our lives. Please pray for Elsie, she needs God’s guidance for a new direction on their farming operation since her husband is not there to help her make decisions.
- Then Naomi said, Wait, my daughter, until you find out what happens. For the man will not rest until the matter is settled today, (Ruth3:18). Naiomi had told Ruth what to do according to Jewish customs. Ruth did as was told and now the rest was up to Boaz. We pray to follow protocol and do things the right way. Please pray for Ronnie. He has a growth in and around his colon that is no operatable. He is waiting to get biopsy to see what method of treatment is open for him.
- There is no one holy like the Lord, there is no one besides You, there is no Rock like our God, (1 Samuel 2:2). Hannah starts her prayer with praise to her God. We pray to follow her example, even if our prayers are not answered as we like. Please pray for Pastor Brewer. He had 5 bypass surgery was doing well and then had a stroke. Pray for complete healing for him.
- What happened David asked. Tell me. He (the news bearer) said, the men fl ed from the battle. Many of them fell and died. And Saul and his son Jonathan are dead, (2 Samuel 1:4). The news bearer thought he was bringing good news to David…maybe he would be rewarded. But he didn’t understand David’s love for Saul and Jonathan. We pray to never gloat when another is suffering and to not use that for personal gain. Please continue to pray for Andy. He is still paralyzed but has been able to sit up for a few seconds. Pray they also have a way to negotiate thru insurance woes. Pray for his wife Joanie as well.
- In building the Temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the Temple site while it was being built, (1Kings 6:7). Amazing!!!! Every person working on building the Temple came together in care, concern, honor and respect for God and His Sanctuary. We pray to lives our lives as a reflection of the building of God’s Temple. Please pray for Michele and Jay. Both have stage 4 Melanoma. Michele has opted to wait on her treatment so she can take better care of Jay while he takes his treatments. Pray for healing for both.
- He (Elijah) told the king, this is what the Lord says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have don this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on, You will certainly die! So, he died, according to the Word of the Lord that Elijah had spoken, (2 Kings 1:16-17). King Ahaziah had disrespected God by calling on a false god rather than going to Elijah and asking for God’s direction. For that he was condemned to death. We pray to seek God’s direction in our lives rather than relying on manmade advice. 13-14 Utah FFA, Utah State University, Logan, UT, Jeff Goss
- During Saul’s reign they (the Reubenites) waged war against the Hagrites, who were defeated at their hands, they occupied the dwellings of the Hagrites throughout the entire region east of Gilead, (1Chronicles 5:10). Reuben’s descendants trusted God and had success in defeating their enemies and living successful productive lives. We pray to follow God’s direction for our lives. Please pray for Amy. She fell on ice and broke her right elbow. She is not able to drive or go to work.
- . Solomon also made all the furnishings that were in God’s Temple, the golden altar, the tables on which was the bread of the Presence, the lampstands of pure gold with their lamps, to burn in front of the inner sanctuary as prescribed, (2Chronicles 4:19-20). Solomon began building the Temple. The furnishings were also built according to God’s instructions. Everything the best of the best. We pray to give God our best of the best. Please pray for Herb. He is in need of a pacemaker and probably has it at this writing. Pray it helps keep him stabilized.
- But, the eye of their God was watching over the elders of the Jews, and they were not stopped until a report could go to Darius and his written reply be received, (Ezra 5:5). Ezra had authority to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem but there was opposition from surrounding leaders. We pray to stand steadfast in our calling from God although there will certainly be opposition from all sides. Sugar Fest, Clewiston, FL, Bill Brown
- The priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers and the temple servants, along with certain of the people and the rest of the Israelites, settled in their own towns, (Nehemiah 7:73). The caretakes of the Temple were given land according to God’s Word…when these people came out of exile and the Temple was being rebuilt, they began to settle around Jerusalem as before. We pray to follow the guidelines of God’s Word even if we have been exiled for many years. We pray to come home to God and rebuild our lives. Please pray for our country while we are in the shake sown situation.
- She (Esther) was taken to the King Xerxes in the royal residence in the tenth month, the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign, (Esther 2:16). Esther was one of many young women summoned to the palace by King Xerxes to fi nd a replacement for his former wife. God had given her favor because He had a plan for her life that she didn’t understand at that moment. We pray to trust and obey that God has a plan for us…even when we may not be able to see it. Ours may not be as grand as Esther’s but there is a plan for us nevertheless. Please pray for our farmers. Commodity prices are low. As the farmer goes so goes our country.
- . Skin for skin Satan replied. A man will give all he has for his own life. But stretch out Your hand and strike his fl esh and bones, and he will surely curse You to Your face. The Lord said to Satan, very well, then, he is in your hands, but you must spare his life, (Job 2 4-6). This was Job’s second challenge by Satan to see if he would turn from God’s presence. We pray to be a Job!!! Please pray for those suddenly without jobs.
- O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the earth, (Psalm 8:1). Praising Jesus all the day long. Jesus became human. He will raise all who belong to Him when He comes to reign over the new heaven and the new earth. We pray to place our faith in the God of the glory of the earth… Maker of heaven and earth. Amen! 20-23 Oregon FFA State Convention, Redmond, OR, Terry Morrison, John Caster, Jeff Goss
- Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them, (Mark 14:10). Whatever Judas motive was, it presented itself as greed. His greedy desires could not be fulfilled if he followed Jesus, so he betrayed Him in exchange for money and favor from the religious leaders. We pray to lay aside our own personal desires or worldly greed and put Jesus first. Susquehanna, Dairy Day, Doc Devoe
- The disciples left, went into the city and found things just as Jesus had told them. So, they prepared the Passover, (Mark 14:16). Jesus sent Peter and John to find a man carrying a water jar…which was usually a woman’s job. We pray to find miracles in our everyday life. Pioneer Days, Arcadia, FL, Bill Brown ALSO 21-23 Rattlesnake Festival, OPP, AL, Bill Brown
- When the evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve. While they were reclining at the table eating, He said, I tell you the truth one of you will betray Me who is eating with Me, (Mark 14:17-18). Judas had already determined to betray Jesus, but in hypocrisy he shared the fellowship of this meal. We pray our words and actions will line up with our hearts in obedience to Christ. 21-23York RV Show, York, PA, Michael Steele, ALSO West Branch Susquehanna Builders Home Show, Williamsport, PA, Michael Steele
- While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to His disciples, saying, take it, this is my body, (Mark 14:22). After the usual Passover meal and ritual, Jesus gave the passing of the bread and the drinking of wine a new meaning that night. We call it Communion. We pray to remember the significance of the Last Supper when we take Communion. 22-23 Buckeye Alpaca Show, Tallmadge, OH, Bill Nichols
- Then He took the cup, gave thanks and off ered it to them, and they all drank from it. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many, He said to them, (Mark 14:23,24). Judas, the betrayer, Peter, the denier, and Thomas, the doubter were among this group. We pray to believe the spotless Lamb of God shed His blood for our sins. 23-26 Tennessee FFA Convention, Gatlinburg Convention Center, Mike Weaver
- . But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table. The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed, but woe to that man who betrays Him, (Luke 22:21,22). The other disciples had no idea what was about to take place, but Judas did. We pray for discernment in all areas but especially in Spiritual matters. 26-28 Mid America Farm Show, Salina, KS, Dave Ferris
- For who is greater, the one who is at the table of the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves, (Luke 22:27). The most important event in human history was about to take place, and the disciples were still arguing about their prestige in the kingdom! We pray to have a servant’s heart. Please pray for commodity prices to stay high enough our farmers can make a living.
- Jesus answered, I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know Me, (Luke 22:34). Jesus predicted Judas would betray and Peter would deny Him. Two similar wrongs but Peter would repent of his wrong doing. We pray to have a repentant heart. Please pray for estranged families to reconcile.
- Then Jesus went with His disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and He said to the, sit here while I go over there and pray. He took Peter, James and John along with Him, and He began to be sorrowful and troubled, (Matthew 26:36,37). The divine course was set for Jesus, but in His humanity, He was in great anguish. We pray to use His example of strength in our times of anguish. Please pray for workers and for events for FCFI in 2025 and beyond.
- Going a little farther, He fell to the round and prayed that, if possible, the hour might pass from Him. ABBA, Father, He said, everything is possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will but what You will, (Mark 14:35,36). Jesus taught us though Salvation is freely given, it costs everything we own. We pray to say ABBA, Father, not my will but Thine be done. Please pray for young men and women to replace the farmers that are retiring.
- And being in anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground, (Luke 22:44). Jesus was in extreme agony, such that the strain pushed His blood to the surface of His brow. Still, He did the will of our Father. We pray to not give in and not give up in times of peril and pressure. Please for many people to come to Jesus as their Savior during this Easter season.
