Each day of the month has a reflection and a prayer request. Please join us in praying together.

July 2025
1. When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. He named him Noah and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed” (Genesis 5:28–29). And Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. We pray to get in step with God and walk with Him. 1–4 Texas State FFA Convention, Dallas, TX, Art Free.
2. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him (Moses) in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire, it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up” (Exodus 3:2–3). Often in the Bible, God appeared to people in various forms. We pray to be open to seeing and hearing God in ways we may not initially understand. We pray to be a people who seek the Lord in any and every circumstance. Please pray for Debbie. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 right kidney cancer.
3. The Lord said to Moses, “When a person commits a violation and sins unintentionally in regard to any of the Lord’s holy things, he is to bring to the Lord as a penalty a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value in silver, according to the sanctuary shekel” (Leviticus 5:14–15). God shows us here how serious He is about sin. Even unintentional sins need to be confessed and repented for. We pray to make things right for those we unintentionally harmed. Fort Plain 4th on the Weekend, Fort Plain, NY, Bill Brown.
4. “The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come” (Numbers 10:8). Whether in battle or rejoicing, we pray to give tribute to the Lord. INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!
5. “Then we (Israelites) turned back and set out toward the desert along the route to the Red Sea, as the Lord had directed me (Moses). For a long time, we made our way around the hill country of Seir” (Deuteronomy 2:1). The 40 years of wandering in the desert began because of the disobedience of the Israelites as they didn’t believe God would do what He said. We pray to take God at His Word and add to our faith rather than doubting. 4–7 Madison County Fair, Brookfield, NY, Bill Brown.
6. Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you” (Joshua 3:5). Consecration was an outward sign of a pure heart of expectation. We pray to daily consecrate ourselves to the Lord for His glory. Cheddar Cheese Festival, Adams, NY, Dave Porter.
7. Again, the Israelites cried out to the Lord, and He gave them a deliverer—Ehud, a left-handed man, the son of Gera the Benjamite (Judges 3:15). Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and as He punished them, they cried out. In God’s mercy, He saved them. Ehud was their deliverer. We pray to look to Jesus, our Deliverer, who frees us from sin. 4–7 Four Seasons Craft and Flea Market, Fort Plain, NY, Pete and Sandy Singer.
8. Her (Ruth’s) mother-in-law asked her, “Where did you glean today? Where did you work? Blessed be the man who took notice of you!” Then Ruth told her about the one at whose place she had been working. “The name of the man I worked with today is Boaz,” she said (Ruth 2:19). Naomi had led Ruth back to her homeland. They needed food, so Ruth went out to glean after the workers. Boaz would become Ruth’s husband. We pray to be busy for the Lord and others and to accept God’s blessing. 6–12 Logan County Fair, Bellefontaine, OH, Bill Nichols.
9. And she (Hannah) made a vow, saying, “O Lord Almighty, if You will only look upon Your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget Your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head” (1 Samuel 1:11). Hannah was childless but faithful in prayer. God granted her the desire of her heart, and she gave Samuel over to Eli to serve in the Temple when he was old enough. We pray to be faithful in our prayers. 8–10 Stick Work Days, Marcy, NY, Bill Brown.
10. In the course of time, David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?” The Lord said, “Go up.” David asked, “Where shall I go?” “To Hebron,” the Lord answered (2 Samuel 2:1). David had already been anointed king by God but waited until Saul’s death to move toward the throne, in God’s timing. We pray to continually seek God’s will in our lives. 9–19 Lycoming County Fair, Hughesville, PA, Ernie Reece.
11. “And now, as surely as the Lord lives, He who has established me securely on the throne of my father David and has founded a dynasty for me as He promised—Adonijah shall be put to death today” (1 Kings 2:24). Adonijah, Solomon’s brother, tried to take the throne with his mother’s help. Solomon wisely put a stop to the insubordination. We pray to be loyal to King Jesus and not have hidden agendas that hinder worship. 11 West Virginia FFA, Ripley, WV, Michael Steele. 11–14 Two Cylinder EXPO, Canandaigua, NY, Bill Brown.
12. But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Go up and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going off to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?’ Therefore, this is what the Lord says: ‘You will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!’” So Elijah went (2 Kings 1:3–4). Baal-Zebub was a pagan god believed to tell the future. Elijah delivered God’s verdict to the king’s messengers. We pray to seek the only God who truly answers prayer. 11–14 North Stonington Fair, North Stonington, CT, Bill Brown.
13. A Levite named Mattithiah, the firstborn son of Shallum the Korahite, was entrusted with the responsibility for baking the offering bread (1 Chronicles 9:31). The priests and Levites were devoted to preparing the Temple for worship. We pray that in our busy lives we take time to prepare our hearts for worship. Please pray for Andy and Joan, as she now cares for him after sudden paralysis from the waist down.
14. In the Most Holy Place he (Solomon) made a pair of sculptured cherubim and overlaid them with gold (2 Chronicles 3:10). God had given specific instructions for the Temple, and Solomon followed them exactly. We pray to read and follow God’s Word, which gives us instructions for life. Please continue to pray for Michael—he has lung cancer.
15. The whole company numbered 42,360, besides their 7,337 menservants and maidservants, and they also had 200 men and women singers. They had 736 horses, 245 mules, 435 camels, and 6,720 donkeys (Ezra 2:64–67). Returning from exile, a census verified birthrights. We pray to be authentic Believers, living lives that reflect true faith. 15–20 Benton Rodeo, Benton, PA, Doc Devoe.
16. Eliashib the high priest and his fellow priests went to work and rebuilt the Sheep Gate. They dedicated it and set its doors in place, building as far as the Tower of the Hundred, which they dedicated, and as far as the Tower of Hananel. The men of Jericho built the adjoining section, and Zaccur son of Imri built next to them (Nehemiah 3:1–2). The city was rebuilt section by section, person by person. We pray to rebuild our spiritual walls daily. Please pray for the Baker-Tyson family—two grandchildren and a woman lost their lives in a head-on collision.
17. In every province to which the edict and order of the king came, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping, and wailing. Many lay in sackcloth and ashes (Esther 4:3). Haman’s plot nearly annihilated the Jews, but Esther’s courage turned the tide. We pray to always stand for what is right. 17–20 Plain City Old Fashioned Threshers, Plain City, OH, Bill Nichols.
18. “Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can a mortal be righteous before God?” (Job 9:1). Job’s friends blamed him for his suffering, but Job asked the deeper question of human righteousness. We pray to look to Jesus, our Savior, for forgiveness. 18–21 Lamoille County Fair, Lebanon, CT, Bill Brown.
19. “In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation” (Psalm 5:3). Consistent communication is key to relationship. We pray to set aside daily time for prayer and Scripture. 19–20 Milwaukee Air and Water Show, Milwaukee, WI, Dav Adams.
20. “Listen, my son, hear what I (wisdom) say, and the years of your life will be many. I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths” (Proverbs 4:10). We boldly ask God for wisdom and pray to let it guide our lives. 21–26 Montour De Long Fair, Danville, PA, Ernie Reece.
21. There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow (Ecclesiastes 1:11). Solomon challenges us to find true meaning in our lives in God alone. 21–26 Troy Fair, Troy, PA, Michael Steele.
22. Many people will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:3). God gave Isaiah the ability to see the future, and He has given us His Word so that we may also see what is to come. We pray to be teachable so we may walk in God’s paths. 22–25 32nd Annual FCFI Conference, Four Points by Sheraton, Kalamazoo, MI.
23. “I will pronounce my judgments on My people because of their wickedness in forsaking Me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made” (Jeremiah 1:16). O Lord, what are the other gods in my life? We pray to be found faithful to our God, the Lord Almighty. Please pray for our farmers—July is a brutally hot month.
24. “People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what You have done. May You bring the day You have announced so they may become like me” (Lamentations 1:21). God’s people were being punished by Babylon and cried out for His help to bring justice. We pray to call out to God in our own times of distress. Please pray for our country—so much anxiety as events unfold rapidly.
25. “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Strike your hands together and stamp your feet and cry out, ‘Alas!’ because of all the wicked and detestable practices of the house of Israel, for they will fall by the sword, famine, and plague” (Ezekiel 6:11). Judgment awaits those who do not acknowledge God as Lord of all. We pray for those who have turned away from God to come to full knowledge of His grace and mercy before facing judgment. Please pray for Olivia, a young woman with a brain tumor.
26. “I (Daniel) thank and praise You, O God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, You have made known to me what we asked of You, You have made known to us the dream of the king” (Daniel 2:23). All the wise men of Babylon were to be executed if they couldn’t interpret the king’s dream. God revealed it to Daniel, who saved many lives. We pray to seek God’s wisdom and stand firm in it. 26–28 Lebanon County Fair, Lebanon, CT, Bill Brown.
27. “Therefore, I will block her path with thornbushes; I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way” (Hosea 2:6). God disciplined Israel so they might return to Him. Turning to Him in desperation is better than running in rebellion. We pray to return to God in gratitude for His care. Please pray for Barbara Rose, who recently had knee replacement surgery.
28. “Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing—grain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God” (Joel 2:14). Joel first prophesied judgment and now offers hope through God’s mercy. We pray to obey God now before disaster strikes. Please pray for Josh, who was involved in a head-on collision and requires multiple surgeries. The other driver did not survive. Pray for his family as well.
29. “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). Even in anger, God repeatedly warned His people through prophets. We pray not to take God’s warnings lightly. Please pray for Preslee, a baby who recently had heart surgery, and for her lungs to heal fully.
30. “But God provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights” (Jonah 1:17). God protects and teaches us even in our rebellion. Jesus referenced Jonah to foreshadow His own burial and resurrection. We pray to trust the truth of God’s Word. Please pray for Jayden, a teen with leg cancer—he is Preslee’s older brother.
31. “He (Jesus) will stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God. And they will live securely, for then His greatness will reach to the ends of the earth” (Micah 5:4). This prophecy points to the coming King who secures His people. We pray to boldly spread the Gospel so others may live securely in Christ. Please pray for Jocelyn, mother to a son with cancer and a baby girl with heart and lung issues. Pray for strength, wisdom, and grace over their whole family.
