Michael and Karen Steele continued their mission of sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with campers and outdoor enthusiasts during the 2026 Wildwood RV Show, held April 17–19 at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, New Jersey.
The three-day event provided an opportunity to connect with campers, RV enthusiasts, campground representatives, and vendors from across the region. Michael and Karen welcomed visitors throughout the show, sharing resources, engaging in meaningful conversations, and presenting the Gospel message to those who stopped by.
Although the weather shifted from warm sunshine on opening day to cooler, foggy conditions along the coast during the weekend, the atmosphere inside the convention center remained lively and inviting. Many attendees visited the booth to learn more about faith, receive resources, and enjoy fellowship.
One of the greatest blessings of the event came when one visitor made the decision to receive Jesus Christ as Savior. Countless others heard the Gospel message through personal conversations and through the distribution of Wordless Bible-themed resources. Approximately 30 Wordless Hiking Sticks were given away, along with bracelets, zipper pulls, necklaces, booklets, and bookmarks—all designed to share the message of salvation through the colors of the Wordless Bible.
Among the many memorable encounters was a young woman named Shashaun, owner of Lotus Kettle Corn. After receiving a Wordless Hiking Stick and hearing the Gospel presentation, she chose to place her faith in Christ. Michael and Karen rejoiced in witnessing another life touched by God’s grace.
The event also provided an opportunity to reconnect with Charlie from Hickory Run Campground. Having first met earlier this year at the Lehigh Valley RV Show, they continued discussing plans for a future Saturday evening campfire gathering featuring worship, fellowship, and a message from God’s Word. Details for the gathering are expected to be announced later this summer.
Throughout the weekend, four copies of the Jesus Calling devotional were distributed, and numerous new friendships were formed. Among those were Paul and Maureen, whose brief visit quickly developed into a meaningful connection. The event also provided opportunities to connect with neighboring vendors and campground owners, strengthening relationships that may open doors for future outreach.
Another touching moment involved a woman who relied on two canes for mobility. After trying one of the Wordless Sticks, she discovered that it helped her stand more upright and move more comfortably. She was given two sticks, each fitted with rubber tips for added stability, providing both practical assistance and a reminder of God’s love.
One especially encouraging encounter came when three young adults approached the booth from a distance, curious about the display and its message. After hearing the Gospel and discussing questions about faith and prayer for national leaders, they gathered together and prayed with Michael and Karen. Though their meeting was brief, it left a lasting impact and served as a reminder of the unity believers share in Christ.
Following are some great photos of the interaction of the volunteers with the people!

Two brothers stop by the display table to look at the resources and items being offered. Karen Steele shares the message of Jesus Christ with them while their parents observe from a short distance away. During the conversation, Karen learned that neither of the boys had ever heard of Jesus Christ before, making the encounter a meaningful opportunity to introduce them to the Gospel message

In the background, Tawana, a new friend who had stopped by earlier in the day, returns to say goodbye before leaving. Karen Steele takes a moment to greet her once more, sharing a warm farewell and a heartfelt hug before she departs

It is common for vendors to stop by during slow moments of each show. Here the young man that runs the Leaf Guard stand gets a Wordless Stick and the salvation message from Karen Steele

A group of campers gathers around the display of Wordless Sticks, selecting new sticks to use as they explore local campgrounds and trails throughout the 2026 camping season. As they browse the selection, they also hear the Gospel message and learn about the hope found in Jesus Christ.

After visiting earlier, the same three guests returned with family and friends who were interested in seeing the outreach for themselves. The group gathered around the display, enjoying conversation and hearing the message of Jesus Christ

The group from the picture above wanted to have a moment of prayer before they left. We were excited for them to like us and were comfortable enough with our ministry to want to join in prayer for us. Thank you all! God bless!

A former law enforcement officer stopped by our booth on the last day. We had a great talk with him!

Looking back on their first appearance at the Wildwood RV Show, Michael and Karen expressed gratitude for everyone who visited the booth, the event organizers Steve and Tami, and the many faithful supporters who continue to pray for and encourage their outreach efforts.
As the RV show season transitions into camping season, Michael and Karen plan to continue visiting campgrounds and sharing the message of Jesus Christ with anyone interested in hearing the Good News.
The next scheduled event is expected to be the 2026 New York State Fall RV Show in Syracuse, New York. Until then, Michael and Karen encourage campers everywhere to take opportunities to build relationships, share their faith, and point others to Christ.
“Please continue praying that we always minister to people in a Godly manner and that the Lord will continue to open doors for us to share the Gospel,” said Michael and Karen Steele. “Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged, and supported these outreach efforts. We are grateful for each of you.”
