The Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) recently had the opportunity to connect with students and agricultural leaders at the New Mexico FFA State Convention, held on the campus of New Mexico State University in beautiful Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Art Free and his wife, Susan, represented FCFI at the event, where they welcomed students and advisors from 72 FFA chapters across the state. With approximately 1,000 students attending, the convention provided a wonderful opportunity to share encouragement, faith, and fellowship with the next generation of agricultural leaders.

One of the highlights of the event was the positive interaction with students who visited the FCFI booth. The team distributed small “Little Jesus” figures, which quickly became a favorite among attendees. In return, many students shared thoughtful gifts of their own, including bracelets carrying messages such as “Jesus Loves You” and “Jesus Is Awesome.” These simple exchanges served as meaningful reminders of the faith and enthusiasm these young people carry with them.
The convention also provided opportunities for personal ministry. After speaking with a young woman at the booth one day, Art learned that her uncle had suffered a stroke during the night. The student returned the following morning seeking comfort and prayer. Art and Susan were honored to pray with her and offer encouragement during a difficult time.
As the convention concludes, Art and Susan will begin a two-day journey across Texas before meeting Jeff Goss at the Louisiana FFA Convention, where they will continue representing FCFI and sharing its mission with students and agricultural communities.
The summer convention season is a busy one, but it continues to provide countless opportunities to build relationships, encourage young people, and share the love of Christ.
Thank you to everyone who supports the ministry of FCFI through your prayers, encouragement, and partnership. Your support helps make these meaningful connections possible.
