Earlier, we reported on the construction of Rock Cliffe Church in Jamaica, a project made possible through the efforts of the FCFI volunteer team. Although the team has returned home, the work has continued, and the impact of the project is expanding thanks to the dedication of local believers and the leadership of Paul Lee of Plants & Plants.
Since our last update, significant improvements have been made to the church facilities. Five windows have been installed, allowing more natural light and better ventilation throughout the building. A generator has also been donated, providing dependable electricity for worship services, ministry activities, and community gatherings. In addition, two solar lights have been installed to provide sustainable lighting around the church grounds.
Water access has also been improved with the installation of two 800-gallon water tanks, helping meet an important need within the community. The women’s restroom has been re-roofed, creating a safer and more functional facility, while local Jamaican workers have continued making upgrades to the building’s electrical system and other areas of the property.
Recent work has focused on preparing and painting the exterior of the church. A first coat of color has been applied, with plans to return and complete the remaining exterior surfaces in the same color. Despite periodic interruptions from rainfall, the local Jamaican team remains thankful for the rain and grateful for God’s continued provision.
Before the final paint is applied, an oil-based gray primer is being carefully placed on the wooden walls. This base coat serves several important purposes. It waterproofs and protects the wood, acts as a sealer, and provides an adhesive surface that helps the finish coat bond properly. Because the rear side of the building faces the ocean, from which comes the prevailing winds and driving rain, protecting the structure from moisture and the elements is especially important.

Photos show local workers faithfully carrying out the work, applying the primer and preparing the church for its final coat of paint. Their efforts are helping ensure that the building will remain strong and beautiful for years to come. What began with the FCFI team’s construction work has grown into an ongoing partnership, with local residents investing their time and talents to make Rock Cliffe Church an even more welcoming place for ministry.
These improvements are about far more than a building. They are helping create a place where people can gather, worship, receive encouragement, and experience the love of Christ. The continued work demonstrates how cooperation between volunteers and local communities can produce lasting and meaningful change.

Much of this ongoing church construction ministry has been initiated and coordinated by Paul Lee of Plants & Plants, whose vision extends beyond the church itself. Looking ahead to November, we are excited to partner with Paul in reaching out to widows and other vulnerable members of the community, continuing the mission of serving both physical and spiritual needs.
It is encouraging to witness how God continues to bless the work at Rock Cliffe Church. What started as a construction project has become a testimony of faithful partnership, local involvement, and the transforming power of Christ’s love in Jamaica.
