Prayer Guide October 2016
FCFI has lost two of our ‘mighty men’ recently, Ron Bodtke and Rowe Sargent. While we know exactly where they are, family and friends will dearly miss them. Sovereign Lord, we thank you for the privilege of having known and worked with Ron and Rowe. Comfort us as we go through the grieving process and may their legacy inspire us to continue their earthly works until we join them in heaven.

Prayer Guide September 2016
As we begin the month of September, please pray for our friend, Bill. At eighty-two he is struggling against leukemia, must have surgery to adjust a failing pacemaker, and just had his big toe removed because of infection. Please pray also for our friend Alex in South Sudan. He is the key person in establishing a private Christian school in a country that is its own worst enemy as tribal warfare continues to hamper the new government’s progress. Pray as well for Laurie who is battling breast cancer.

Prayer Guide August 2016
The 23rd Annual Conference of FCFI was this past weekend. This year it was held at the Radisson Hotel in Branson, Missouri. Let us pray that the Lord used it to be a celebration of the past, an energizing present, and a focus on the future so that our organization can successfully continue with its purpose to ‘build, maintain, and strengthen faith in God for the farmer, the farm family, and the farming industry through presenting Jesus as Lord and Savior’. Thank you, Lord, for past successes and we pray that your hand will remain on FCFI and its members.

Prayer Guide July 2016
“These people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me,” Mark 7:6b. Could Jesus be talking about you and me as well? Do we pray, go to church, sing hymns, drop our money in the collection plate while our thoughts are far, far away? Yes, I am guilty as charged. Redeemer, we are a fickle people. Please don’t give up on us but by your spirit guide us into a less hypocritical life.

Prayer Guide June 2016

Prayer Guide May 2016
Happy May Day! Not an official holiday but a good day to greet the warmer weather, beautiful flowers, and the season to begin planting many of the major crops in the northern United States. Lord of the Harvest, we pray for the seeds we plant, whether they be physical or spiritual that will grow and multiply to a bountiful harvest throughout the world.

Prayer Guide April 2016
TodayisApril1storAprilFool’sDay.ItisalsoSt.StupidDay(thatisnotanApril fool’s joke). Some clever person said, ‘you can’t teach stupid’ but the Bible says, “The fool has said in his heart there is no God,” Psalm 14:1. It also tells us, “professing to be wise they became fools,” Romans 1:22 in describing those who denied God. Teacher, we choose to be biblically correct not ‘politically correct’ so that we can be “fools for Christ,” 1 Corinthians 4:10.
