A Powerful Salvation Moment at the Memphis Cotton Gin Show – by Mary Jones

Mary Jones recently shared an incredible testimony from the Cotton Gin Show in Memphis. As Dan Janzen was visiting with Mary in Georgia, she told of a moving encounter that highlighted the power of the Gospel.

In the midst of the busy crowd of nearly 10,000 people, a young woman in a three-piece suit responded during a Gospel presentation. Though she had attended church her entire life and had even worked in ministry, she admitted that she had never truly accepted Christ as her Savior.

Right there at the show, she prayed the Prayer of Salvation. Following that decision, she wrestled with how she could return to her church and acknowledge that, despite years of service, she had never been saved. Mary explained that this young woman now had the greatest opportunity—to share her testimony, follow the Lord in baptism, and proclaim Christ openly. In doing so, her story could inspire others within her congregation who might be in the very same situation.

Mary Jones concluded by reflecting on how this moment serves as a reminder that God continues to reach people in unexpected places, bringing true transformation and eternal hope.
