Fundraising Campaign by AD and Hazel Alvarez
For the past 16 years, AD and Hazel Alvarez have faithfully served through their mission farm and agricultural extension work in the Camotes Islands, Cebu. Throughout the years, much of their ministry work and travel depended on a simple motorcycle — a practical tool that helped them reach farming communities, conduct agricultural training, and support local farmers.
As their ministry continued to grow, so did the need for safer, more reliable, and more comfortable transportation.
In May 2025, they found what they believe is the ideal vehicle for their mission: a fuel-efficient, air-conditioned surplus minivan imported from Japan. Unlike many typical surplus vehicles, this minivan features a front-mounted engine instead of one located beneath the seats, providing greater comfort, improved seating, and safer travel for long-distance ministry work.
While it is not luxurious, it is highly practical and perfectly suited for the daily demands of agricultural missions and community outreach.
Moving Forward in Faith
Through a special arrangement with the seller, AD and Hazel have already been able to use the vehicle since May 2025. It has already become an important part of their ministry work, particularly during an agricultural consultancy project in Bacolod City.
As that consultancy project comes to a close, a new chapter is beginning. They are now preparing to launch a personal agricultural mission initiative in Negros Occidental — a project aimed at serving and equipping even more farmers and rural communities in the region.
For them, this vehicle is more than transportation. It is a vital tool for ministry, outreach, and service — truly an answer to prayer.

How You Can Help
To fully pay off the vehicle, they are seeking to raise ₱250,000 (approximately $5,000 USD).
Every contribution, whether big or small, will help sustain and expand this agricultural ministry work that continues to impact farming communities through practical support, training, encouragement, and faith-driven service.
