Growing Hope in Jamaica Through Faith and Sustainable Opportunity

This coming fall, the Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) is preparing for a meaningful mission trip to Jamaica—one that brings together Gospel outreach, community rebuilding, and sustainable agricultural development.

The mission will focus on two key areas of impact. First, the team will assist in repairing and improving a local Bible college, strengthening a place dedicated to equipping leaders and sharing the message of Christ. Alongside this effort, FCFI will launch a tree nursery program aimed at creating long-term economic opportunities for vulnerable individuals, especially widows.

By partnering with local churches, this initiative encourages community members to invest in fruit trees and develop small orchards. These orchards have the potential to create a lasting ripple effect—providing food, income, and hope for families and future generations.

The project is designed to allow participation at many levels. Individuals can contribute through hands-on labor, management support, or by engaging in shared-profit arrangements. This model reflects principles of asset-based community development, empowering people to build on what they already have, while also drawing inspiration from the spirit of unity and generosity found in Acts 4 and 6.

A key partner in this effort is Plants & Plants, a local Christian nursery business. The team will provide practical training in growing techniques and grafting, with continued support offered through online follow-up. Through this collaboration, the goal is not only to cultivate healthy trees, but also to nurture lives—spiritually and economically—for years to come.

FCFI invites those who feel called to be part of this mission to get involved. Whether your passion is in ministry, construction, or agriculture, there is a place for you to serve.
