Greetings to all,
As we reflect on our winter travels, we are humbled by the openness and receptiveness we’ve encountered while sharing Christ. Across many miles, people have welcomed us into their lives, courageously sharing their hurts, challenges, and struggles. Their hearts are more open to the gospel than ever before, and we are grateful to witness God at work in their lives.
We send this update from Summerville, South Carolina, as we prepare for the Flowertown Festival, our final southern event before heading north. Kathy and I have always loved southern gospel music, and one of our favorite groups, The Inspirations, recently released a song that has been a real encouragement to us. In “I Can See Calvary”, the lyrics remind us:
“When I’m down in the valley, I can still see Calvary, and God climbed that mountain for me.”
How reassuring it is! This message reflects exactly what we share with others—a reminder that God’s love reaches us even in the valleys of life.
With this last southern event, Region Eight will have shared the gospel with over 12,000 people in that region, and we continue to see hearts respond to the message. Whatever role you may have played—praying, supporting, or working beside us—we thank you. In recent weeks, team members from New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, and South Carolina have joined us, helping to bring the message of hope to countless individuals. We also want to extend a special thanks to our New York members who staffed booths at three northern events.
Looking ahead, if all goes as planned, we will be in New York the week before Easter before returning to Florida, where Kathy is scheduled for complete shoulder replacement surgery on April 13. She is confident in her doctors and surgeon, and while we aren’t certain of her rehab schedule, we anticipate spending a few weeks in the south for her recovery. We sincerely covet your prayers during this time.
Even with upcoming challenges, the schedule remains full with Stick Days in July and another mission trip in September. Your help at these events would be a blessing. Additionally, I am working on the June issue of “The Harvest”, which will provide updates and encouragement through timely articles.
Once again, thank you for standing with us in service to Him. Remember this truth: “God climbed that mountain for you and me.” Let us give Him thanks in all things.
Partnering with You for Him,
Bill and Kathy Brown
