Faith Connecting Nations Through Prayer and Fellowship: How God is Moving in Our Monthly Zoom Gathering

During a recent Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) global prayer gathering, believers from across continents came together—uniting hearts, voices, and nations in a spirit of prayer, encouragement, and mission.

Praying for the Philippines

The meeting opened with a heartfelt prayer request for those affected by the recent earthquake in the Philippines. Several virtual assistants working with ministry teams there were impacted, facing power outages and challenges in recovery. AD shared an encouraging update that power has been restored in some areas. The group paused to lift up the nation in prayer, asking for God’s protection, restoration, and provision for affected families.

Breaking Barriers in Global Radio Ministry

The fellowship also prayed for Global Radio Outreach, a ministry based in Seattle, Washington, that reaches into the Muslim world through online broadcasting. The team is currently implementing technical upgrades to expand their reach and surpass their milestone of one million listeners per year.

“Lord, give them wisdom and guidance, and the right people to help overcome these technical hurdles,” prayed Dan Janzen, FCFI Executive Director.

Focused on Discipleship – in the U.S. and Africa

Participants also joined in prayer for the ongoing discipleship ministries of FCFI—both in the United States and across Africa.

“We pray for those mentoring young men in Africa,” one participant prayed. “Lord, help the church to equip them, restore what has been lost, and empower them to lead lives that bring transformation.”

Dan also shared a prayer request for the FCFI discipleship ministry in the U.S., especially as it expands through local meetings and outreach to FFA youth.

“Lord, help us make discipleship an integral part of our evangelism—not an extra burden, but the natural next step after someone finds Christ,” he prayed.

A Global Fellowship of Faith

The call truly reflected the heart of FCFI’s mission—to connect believers across nations. Participants joined from Ethiopia, South Sudan, the Philippines, Senegal, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and the United States, each sharing testimonies, updates, and prayer needs.

One powerful moment came from Patrick, originally from Sierra Leone and now living in Wisconsin. After encountering FCFI volunteers sharing Bibles and salvation bracelets during his bus route, he reached out and joined the online prayer fellowship for the first time.

“For 17 years, I’ve been looking for a Christian farmers’ group,” Patrick shared. “I am so grateful to have found FCFI. I would love to help establish a fellowship in Sierra Leone.”

His story sparked new conversations about expanding FCFI’s ministry into Sierra Leone and Kenya, with several participants offering to help connect and support the effort.

Reaching the Muslim World with Love

Pastor David from Senegal also shared his ministry’s ongoing outreach among Muslims, a work that has continued faithfully for 25 years.

“Discipleship here is so challenging,” he said, “but God has been faithful.”

Patrick responded in prayer for Senegal, asking for God’s Spirit to move in power among Muslims and for unity in spreading the Gospel across Africa.

Closing in Thanksgiving

As the meeting drew to a close, Theresa led the group in a heartfelt prayer of gratitude. The meeting ended in thanksgiving and praise—reflecting the unity and diversity of God’s people around the world, standing together in prayer for the harvest, both physical and spiritual.
