Prayer Guide and Devotional – August 4, 2025
Acts 1:10-11
They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
| Jesus’ Disciples were standing in awe watching Him ascend to heaven when two men in white appeared. These two men reminded the Disciples that Jesus would be returning to earth someday just as they are watching Him ascend to heaven. That is the one fact that separates the Christian Faith from all other religions. Our Savior, yes He died for our sins on the cross, but He came back to life showing the world He really is God by defeating death. No other religions has the leader or founder ever defeated death and is still alive. We have the guarantee that our Savior is still alive and has the power to defeat anything that comes against Him. He truly is God’s Son! And remember, as the two men in white told us, Jesus will someday return for all people that have embraced Him as their Savior and their God and received Him into their hearts and lives. Have no doubts. Lord Jesus is alive and will return someday for His family!! Another amazing moment in the lives of those first Christians tasked with taking Jesus message to the world. Lord, I have no doubts You died for the sins of the world and resurrected from the dead. I have no doubts You are in heaven waiting for the moment of Your return. We love You and thank You for washing us all clean away the dirt from our lives of sin. I ask that Your Holy Spirit would guide the hearts of the world and they would turn from their sin stained hearts and lives and come to You this very day. Lord Jesus, come!! In Jesus name, Amen!!! Prayer Requests! Pray for FCFI witnesses sharing Jesus Christ that they would have the strength to make it through a very hot summer and not grow weary. Many of the summer FCFI events are outside and away from air conditioning. Then many may have a long drive home only to turn around and come back to the event the next day.
