The Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) is currently coordinating efforts to strengthen its disaster response and volunteer mobilization in Texas, following the recent flood disaster in the Kerrville area.
FCFI has long been active across Texas through its presence at the Texas FFA Convention, county fairs, and farm shows—offering Christian fellowship and sharing the Gospel within the agricultural community. Now, the organization is stepping forward to help meet urgent, long-term needs in Kerrville and surrounding areas.
About FCFI
The mission of the Fellowship of Christian Farmers International is:
- To promote Christian fellowship within the farming community on local, state, national, and international levels.
- To organize domestic and international mission teams where farmers and other individuals can use their skills and resources to serve others.
- To share the Gospel at agricultural events such as machinery shows and commodity conferences.
Ongoing Needs in Kerrville Area
In partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Disaster Assessment and Recovery (TAEDAR), FCFI is preparing to support long-term recovery efforts in the flood-affected region. Local agents have indicated that assistance will be needed well beyond the initial emergency response.
Planned relief areas include:
- Debris removal
- General cleanup
- Fence and building repair
- Establishment of a distribution center for hay, feed, and other materials
These plans are in development and will be activated as conditions allow.
Get Involved
FCFI is inviting individuals who are willing to volunteer their time, skills, and resources to join these efforts. Whether experienced in agriculture, construction, logistics, or simply motivated to help, volunteers will play a vital role in the success of this outreach.
If you or someone you know is interested in participating, please reach out through FCFI https://www.fcfi.org/ or by email ajfree8241@gmail.com which will be monitored for volunteer inquiries.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected—offering not just practical help, but also hope and encouragement in the name of Christ.
