Sharing the Gospel one walking stick at a time—building connections and planting seeds of faith at events across Wisconsin
As I sit at my computer—a place I don’t typically enjoy spending time—I’m reminded that our journey in organizing FCFI efforts here in Wisconsin is still in its early stages. While we’ve had FCFI members living in the state for some time, the intentional work of coming together as a unified presence has only just begun.
I’ll admit, I’ve struggled with impatience. It’s that familiar feeling, like when you plant your first early field of corn, and two weeks later you’re still waiting to see rows break through the soil. You wonder if anything is really happening beneath the surface. But when I paused to reflect on what God has already done, my perspective began to shift.
One of the defining moments for our group came when I took a few retired farmers to the air show in Milwaukee to help our FCFI brothers and sisters there. We were overwhelmed by the openness and eagerness of people to hear the Gospel. That experience lit a fire in us—it stirred our hearts and sent us home with a fresh excitement to share the Good News.
Since then, we’ve participated in several walking stick events across the state. I’m incredibly thankful for Dave Adams and Bob Nowak, whose support and leadership have been vital to the growth of this ministry. Another highlight has been our potato bagging outreach, where we bagged over 8,000 pounds of potatoes, tagging each one with a Scripture verse. These bags were delivered to local food pantries, combining practical help with spiritual encouragement.

We’ve also had the privilege of supporting Bible camps, offering our gifts and labor to strengthen other ministries doing the Lord’s work. Not only have these efforts blessed those we serve, but they’ve deeply enriched the hearts of those doing the serving. Our hope is to expand these outreach opportunities, connecting with more FCFI members across Wisconsin who feel called to use their talents in kingdom work.
A major milestone came with our very first Wisconsin State FCFI Conference, where 32 people gathered to be encouraged, challenged, and inspired. We heard from faithful speakers and took time to listen to one another—sharing ideas, dreams, and places where we felt God nudging us toward new areas of ministry. Our goal is to connect people with similar callings, so they can walk together in service and faith.

I truly believe that through this kind of prayerful collaboration, God will raise up new outreach ministries across Wisconsin—ministries that will bring hope, healing, and the truth of the Gospel to even more communities.
As we look ahead, I want to thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for God’s guidance and grace as we seek to hear His voice and follow His lead. The harvest is plentiful, and with your support, we believe great things are just beginning to grow in Wisconsin.
