1 John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
A good friend of ours has an adult daughter. This man, who is a Christian, told us his daughter rejects Jesus because she believes she has never sinned. She believes sin is only major no no’s such as murder and robbing banks. How many other people today feel they have not sinned and so they have no need for a Savior? The Lord reminds us, we are only deceiving ourselves by thinking this way. The devil wants you to think this way. He does not want anyone to come to Jesus. So, if satan places the thought in our minds and hearts that we are perfect as we are, then there is no need for God’s redemption. In essence, Jesus died on the cross for only a select few. When we believe we have never sinned, we do not have the truth in us. We turn away from the truth because it does not fit the lifestyle we want to live. A lifestyle that glorifies our self and rejects the truth that sin is as simple as lying to another person. ALL PEOPLE, have fallen short of the standards of God. ALL PEOPLE have offended God and so we have made it impossible for us to get to heaven. Look to the truth of God and look to the extreme need we all have of Jesus death and resurrection. Don’t deceive yourself. If you have not received Jesus into your heart and life yet, do so immediately. Do you know if you have a tomorrow to wait til then to receive Jesus? Don’t run the risk you miss an eternity in heaven because you put off until tomorrow, and tomorrow never came.
Lord, I know I was a sinner that had offended You. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your death and resurrection and washing my sins away and making me acceptable in Your eyes. Let my eyes and ears always be open to Your truth alone. Never allow the world to influence my thoughts and help me to have a stronger relationship with You. I receive You as the only truth and only way to have my sin forgiven. Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!

Please pray for Nancy…a once vibrant go-get-em woman trapped in a body that won’t let her do anything by herself. Pray for her caregivers.
