But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Jesus is telling us about having faith in the Lord and getting closer to Him each day. So often we can focus so much on our needs. Where will our next meal come from? My cloths are wearing out. I struggle to have a home. Especially when we are struggling financially, these worries are magnified. We often feel the Lord must not love us or care about us because we are struggling. Jesus is telling us that the Lord loves us so, so much and is there to take care of our needs. But we must place our focus on the Lord, follow His commands, and try our best to eliminate sin in our lives. When we have our life in line with the Lord, He will take care of our needs. Yes, Jesus is telling us to focus all parts of our lives on living according to the Lord's commands and getting closer to God each day. For those that have tried to tune in an old radio, we have a better understanding how hard it can be to get that radio station coming in perfectly clear. It takes work and focus to get the message coming through that radio perfectly clear. Have faith in God. Focus on God every minute of every day. When we do this, the Lord will make sure all of our needs are met. Have total faith in our Lord God. He loves us more than we can ever imagine! Work hard to "Tune in" your faith and focus on the Lord!
Lord help me to live as you have instructed me. To keep the first things first. I desire to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness and NOT the things of this world. Help me to set my eyes upon You and You alone that I will walk in Your ways and live Your truth. I don't want to love what the world loves, or do what the world does. I want only You, My Lord Jesus. In Jesus name, amen!!
