Matthew 15:8
‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
One man leaned over to the older gentleman sitting next to him in church and said "Probably only 75% of the people attending this church are truly saved." The older gentleman was astounded. He was sure everyone in his church walked with the Lord. Jesus reminds us that there are people that show all the signs of being Christian brothers and sisters. They go to church, they sing the songs, but they still totally reject Lord Jesus. Jesus saw this back during his time. If you have never received Jesus for His death on the cross and resurrection, your heart is still far from God. And the Lord knows it!! We can fool ourselves but we cannot fool God. We can attend church but our eternal life is still destined for an eternity away from the Lord in the depths of hell because of our rejecting of Lord Jesus. Don't go to church just to hide from God. Make a true and lasting commitment to Lord Jesus. Ask Him into your heart today!!
Lord God I pray that all people will truly come to You. I pray they would make a commitment to Lord Jesus and live each day for Him. To go to church and still reject Lord Jesus is so foolish on peoples part. You know their hearts, Lord. I pray they would ask Jesus into their hearts today! In Jesus name, Amen!!
