“Haiti Needs Our Help…..Haitians Need Your Help”

The Fellowship of Christian Farmers, International has coordinated the shipment of rice, edible beans, soy protein & cooking oil, and medical supplies to Cap Haitien, Haiti to support the relief effort of the Haitian Christian Ministries.  Members of the Fellowship of Christian Farmers have helped build the Pillatre Center in Cap Haitian since 1985.  Food and medical supplies are needed to assist the ministry to expand their feeding program and to stock needed medical supplies in their medical clinic.

Two 40 foot containers were loaded in Bloomington, Illinois for transport to Haiti Shipping Line in Miami. The containers were purchased so they can remain at the Pillatre Center for needed storage during the earthquake relief effort.

The Fellowship of Christian Farmers teamed with Meals From The Heartland in Des Moines, Iowa to ship seven containers to Food For The Poor and Lifeline Christian Ministries warehouses in Miami.  One additional container was shipped to STEP Seminary in Port au Prince via Trujillo & Sons in Miami.

Your prayer and financial support is needed so food and medical supplies can be bulk purchased.  Bulk shipped quantities are easier for our Haitian partners to receive and immediately utilize.  Gifts can be sent to the FCFI Haiti Fund, P.O. Box 15, Lexington, IL 71653 or on-line by visiting www.fcfi.org.

Please pray for the Haitian Christian Ministries (www.hcmin.org)  as they work with 30 churches in northern Haiti  to meet the physical and spiritual needs of displaced Haitians. Pray also for the Lord’s direction and timing to begin sending teams of farmers to rebuild destroyed housing. FCFI Executive Director, Dennis Schlagel and FCFI Disaster Relief Coordinator, Melvin Bell will  be part of a long term recovery assessment team May 10-15th in Haiti.

Haiti Earthquake Relief  information will be in the FCFI exhibit at the 3 I Farm Show in Great Bend, Kansas  Check the FCFI calendar on the website to learn where FCFI will have an exhibit at a farm show in your area.
